Lucy L Photography is not just another business–it is a community about creating magic, making the impossible reality, and helping others.
Magic doesn’t just happen. Making the impossible possible is not a simple feat. Because of this, I have certain values that remind me to keep serving others, keep believing in each person’s story, and share the joy of this world. You can find my list of these values below:
- Just like Audrey Hepburn, I believe “nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’!”
- I believe a photograph shouldn’t ‘capture’ something. A moment shouldn’t be held captive, but rather be living and vibrant. It should breathe the emotion and life back into you.
- I believe every story is inspiring, magical, and has emotion.
- I believe in quality photos over trendy photos.
- I believe in transparent communication.
- I believe in days with absolutely no make-up, but believe there is nothing wrong with laying on the make-up if you want to get dolled up–and then documenting your confidence!
- I believe art communicates beautiful and important concepts. Sometimes it is only one or the other–and I think that is okay.
- I believe in learning a second language, and using it to communicate with cultures and different people.
- I believe each person is remarkable how they are.
- I believe each person needs to see how remarkable they are sometimes–actually a lot of the time most people need that (I know I do).
- I believe Napoli has the best pizza in the world! And that appreciating different foods doesn’t need to be connected to being a certain size.
- I believe art makes the world a better place–makes YOUR WORLD a better place.
- I believe being classy and stubborn is more difficult than being rude, filthy, and obscene.
- But I believe it is okay to be obscene sometimes just for fun!
- I believe it should be a business’ responsibility to think about you and ask these questions: What is better for you? What could make your life easier?
- I believe in innovation and its power to change lives.
- I believe chocolate is a gift from heaven and anyone who disagrees should move to Antarctica!
- I believe in being open if you were wrong. Like the chocolate thing–maybe that was a bit harsh–it is okay if you don’t like chocolate (I guess).
- I believe your personality should be shared with others–it is important! In fact, I believe it is more important than just about anything else that makes up a photo!
- I believe we all need to stop putting ourselves into the boxes we think we should be, and understand no one is a “one-size fits all” stereotype.
- I believe in hope and potential–and that everyone has it inside of themselves.
