Bridal Photography in Utah: Stylized Bridal Shoot at ECD Studio

Utah Bridal Photography at ECD Studio by Lucy L Photography LLC

So, January of last year, I was determined to start stepping out of my comfort zone to improve my photography skills.

The Fortunate Push into Bridal Photography in Utah

Fortunately (or what felt like unfortunately in the anxiety ridden moment) my husband told me about a free styled shoot to celebrate the opening of a new studio. Little did I know that experience would blow my mind, put me in touch with other amazing individuals, and push me to really get my business going.

The studio opening was ECD Studio in American Fork–that’s right Elizabeth Cooper Design! If you haven’t heard of them before, you need to go and check them out! I highly recommend them to brides looking for modest and affordable wedding dresses. Although based out of Utah, they have several vendors all across the US that sell their dresses, and even a vendor in Germany!

Anyways, I had no clue who they were at the time and so was blown away when I walked in and the model was wearing one of the most gorgeous, modest wedding dresses I had ever seen. To say the other attendees and photographers were flocking to get pictures would be an understatement!

I stepped out of my comfort zone and talked to people. I met other photographers, heard their stories, and was given advice. Between all the hustle and chatter and movement–I also managed to get some pictures that I couldn’t BELIEVE I took! It was the drug into being hooked: on concepts, bridals, and photography.

I’ve made strides and improvements since this day, but am glad to see where I started and how it inspired me. To see the first images that led me into bridal photography in Utah (which has snowballed into weddings), check out the gallery below:
